We have driven Sydney to Melbourne so many times. We have stayed in most free camps along the way, so we were excited to come across this free camp new to us, just a small detour from The Hume Highway in Yass. This site is suitable for self contained RVs only. Joe O’Connor park is a large area below the sports fields with river frontage. The lower area becomes quite waterlogged after rain and seems to be a 4WD test road for the locals. We found an area suitable for caravans right on the water. The high road was very green and shaded, well suited for a quick overnighter. There are no toilet facilities although there are public toilets a short walk away in Riverside Park. Bins are provided.
