The idea of a weekend farewell party made perfect sense so that friends with caravans or campers could spend the whole weekend to seriously say goodbye. Being close to home meant that it was close enough for those we love to join us even if they don’t camp. Win, win.
The party weekend started the day after my resignation from work. My head was in a spin. No downtime, but thats ok. It was all very exciting and I do love a party.
The actual party was Saturday afternoon. Australiana theme decorations and some guests even dressed the part in all sorts of Aussie regalia. Our cake was decorated with the Happy Campers Australia logo.
The managers at Belmont Lakeside Caravan Park were very welcoming and accomodating offering us use of their near new function room.
As the sun went down, the party continued, well into the night.
We have created many happy memories with our loved ones and will miss them dearly, but for now, the road is calling us!
